5,4,3,2,1! We may have watched the ball drop but this New Years Eve event was worlds away from Times Square. Hosting over 350 guests this Old Hollywood themed event turned heads with a dazzling fashion display by international designer, Karen Sobag. Industry gurus, Girly Junk, designed make-up and hair for the models. Earlier in the night live fusion band Reup set the stage delivering their classy mix of jazz and hip-hop. The musical styling of DJ ILMATIK accompanied the fashion show, and singer Renee Marcou serenaded the audience after midnight with her hit single, “Don’t let go.” Hosted at The Calderwood Pavilion, guests were treated to the large theater's couture fixtures, high-end architecture, and elegant ambiance to start the New Year in style. This event was far from the typical New Years Eve club scene. It gave Boston a much-needed look at what an event can be when the elements of socializing and fun are combined with elegance, sophistication and class.
